When speaking, it is important to employ a variety of words combined with appropriate adjectives that will enrich your sentences.
Lists of nouns and adjectives follow that can be utilized in the second part of the FCE Speaking Test in which you may be asked to compare the pictures of two totally different places.
The lists come from this online source.
Describe the pictures below using appropriate adjectives, linking words and discourse markers. Check some of the language you can use in this entry.
TASK: Compare and contrast these pictures and say what the advantages and disadvantages of living in each of these places can be (one minute)
Where would you prefer to live if you could choose?
For homework, write a few lines comparing and contrasting these pictures. An example is provided.
You will also be practising this in class so get ready by studying the new vocabulary and expressions. Your teacher will be giving you feedback.
