English Radio Stations
to Help Improve Your
Listening Skills
Understanding speakers on English radio stations is hard work, so make it easier on yourself and get your ear use to the sounds of English.
Just like when you were a baby learning Spanish or any other language, you started learning by listening.
In non-English speaking countries, it can be difficult to find opportunities to listen to English. So, plug in your radio and turn up the volume. Listening to the radio is a great way to improve your listening skills as you are able to learn while you drive to work, eat your lunch or clean your house.
When you first start listening to English, the key is to hear the English rather than listen to it. To learn more about how to start hearing English click here.
Here are some English Radio stations that I recommend. (...and they are FREE!)

A privately supported, not-for-profit membership organization, NPR produces and distributes programming that reaches a combined audience of 26.4 million listeners weekly. [...] With original online content and audio streaming, NPR.org offers hourly newscasts, special features and ten years of archived audio and information."
